Speaking of Bruno

On friday evening, a group of people from the World Pantheists Movement and some others joined for a dinner at Tor Myrvang's home.

Our host, Tor Myrvang, gave a speech (MP3 10.5MB 21 minutes) about the Expulsion of the Triumphant Beast, one of Bruno's most significant books. John Courtney gave a speech about American pantheist poet Robinson Jeffers. John also brought a video on Jeffers's life.

Also on saturday, when it was full moon, a party gathered at Tor's for dinner.

Tor repeated his speech about Bruno for the other audiense, and after that we enacted a play of Bruno's last hours in prison. The play, Giordano Bruno in the Field of Flowers, was written by a New Yorkian playwright Bill Bruehl, but who unfortunately was unable to attend the meeting of World Pantheist Movement in Rome.

Later, we gave homage to the the full moon on the terrace, around an altar, drinking white wine bathed in moonlight from beautiful old silver goblets.
