>>> 'spindryer1' problem from bob -- Tue Jan 10 11:29:59 1989 <<<

The off switch on spindryer one has broken (aesthetic) and should
be repaired. Its cover has been taped by someone. The lights on
the switchs are also burned out.
spindryer1 operates in spite of these problems so it is useable.

A new on/off switch has been ordered for this machine.
It will be here in about 3 weeks. Until then, the current
one will work.

Attempted to use dryer by sink6. No response on pressing start button.
Sealing ring around the door does not deflate. Suspect that
solenoid valve controlling N2 is not operating (similar to previous
problem?).

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from phillip -- Mon Jan 23 08:01:04 1989 <<<

P: Door will not close. Machine o.d.
S: Repositioned blatter seal on door to deflate entirely
   after each run. Replaced expired control indicator bulbs
   in switches. Dryer is tested (by Robin),up, and running.

The dryer has trouble keeping going. I turned up the N2 presure
but as soon as the dryer is started the N2 presure drops. I think
the filter is clogged since it reaches a good static presure but has
trouble maintaining it while the dryer is running.

Replaced lense cover on 'power' switch. (It had been on order
for 4 weeks.)

Dryer exhibiting a wide range of bizarre behaviors:
Will not always start spinning, and when it does it stops way before
the alloted amount of time. N2 continues to flow long after run
stops, and door can be opened prematurely. Phil is aware of these
problems and will attend to them asap.

This expt. is up for the weekend.

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from bob -- Wed Apr 19 11:52:32 1989 <<<

Carl reported cycle time errors on spindryer1. No problem can be
found and spindryer1 is up.

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from phillip -- Wed Apr 26 09:42:07 1989 <<<

P: Unit does not spin.
S: Replaced v-belt. This belt drives the spinner from the motor.
   This machine is up and running.

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from marilyn -- Tue May 16 10:56:22 1989 <<<

Problem: Door has to be held shut while wafers are spin-drying; the
         cycle is then abbreviated.

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from phillip -- Tue May 16 13:34:03 1989 <<<

P: Short cycle. Door opens while drying.
S: Reset pressures governing machine operation.
   Cycle now stays on as timer dictates.
   Door remains shut during duration of cycle.

Spindryer1 is up.

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from marilyn -- Thu Nov  2 11:50:17 1989 <<<

Problem: It "whistles" while drying wafers; very shrill.

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from galewski -- Thu Nov  2 19:54:14 1989 <<<

Problem: Makes high pitched whine while in use.

Analysis: Gets softer or disappears when door pressed shut. Maybe
	   a leak in door seal?

Editorial: Getting louder and is very irritating. Also may indicate
	    something broken. Not trying to make work for you Philr,
	    just report things when I encounter them.

				Thank you,
				   Carl

>>> 'spindryer1' problem from tom -- Mon Nov  6 14:39:56 1989 <<<

Problem: Machine likes to whistle while it works.
Cause: N2 presure up at 38 psi.
Solution: Turn down presure to ~32 psi (static).
