>>> 'nanoduv' problem from hoagland -- Fri Jun 16 15:22:57 1989 <<<

The nanoduv is up and available for use. A taurus box is currently
being installed... please log on before using the machine. Until
more information is available on daily use please leave everything
on when finished taking measurements- this should prolong life
of the electronics.

A serial card has been installed in the nanoduv XT computer.
It is currently configured as COM2 and is available for a
connection with argon.

The nanoduv is now completely interlocked to taurus via the
on-off switch on the visible lamp source. Users must log on
in order to mesurements.

I measured the reflectivity of some LTO wafers on the nanoduv.
I found that they all had high transmissions, about 60-80%.
I Then measured the reflectivity of a hard baked resist.
The reflectivity at 200nm was about 60%! Have you tried this
kind of experiment in reflection mode before Bill?
If so, how did it go? any suggestions as to what I might
be doing wrong?

The computer interface is not working. Prof. Oldham has been
feelin out Nanometrics for a free fix. They have agreed and I
just have to take it down to south bay, possibly this Fri 3/30/90.

Sorry about no problem report.
