CLARINET PUBLICATION PRICE SHEET
Jan 1, 1991
All products have a "base price," which is the subscription fee for one
or two users. Additional users pay some fraction of the base price.
The more users you have, the less you pay per user.
Almost all sites elect to go with a site licence, usually of all products.
In this case, you pay based on the number of networkers using any kind
of electronic conferencing, even though not all will read ClariNet. In
fact, we assume that about 20% will, and bill you for that number.
(ie. if you have 100 networkers, you pay for 20 ClariNet subscribers.)
All the people on the network get access and can read it, so you may well
go over that 20% figure, but you do not pay extra.
Here's how it works:
Subscribers 1 & 2 are included in the base price.
For subscribers 3 through 6 you pay 60% of the base price each
For subscribers 7 through 20 you pay 35% of the base price each
For subscribers 21 and up you pay 20% of the base price each.
If you have more than 100 subscribers, contact us for special terms.
For example, Daily Newsbytes is $10/month base price. Here are some sample
prices based on the number of readers:
Subscribers Cost (US Dollars per month)
1 10
2 10
3 16
4 22
5 28
6 34
7 37.50
8 41
9 44.50
10 48
20 83
21 85
100 243
If you do not wish to provide reader counts, the numbers in parentheses
beside each product indicate the readership estimate you shoud use. Each
number is a percentage of the news-reading population of your machine.
(Not the user population, the news reading population.) See the info sheet
on subscriber counting for more details.
Here are the ClariNet publications and their base prices.

Payment schedule:
We won't bill less than $25, unless your total bill is less than
$25 per year. That means you have to subscribe for a billing
period that is at least that large. If you buy one base ClariNews
subscription, it must be for at least 3 months, for example.
On the other hand, a site with 100 readers of NewsBytes could
pay for it at $101 per month -- no need to pay for anything in
advance.
Subscriptions must be prepaid.
Sites must follow network rules, or they may be subject to
subscription cancellation without refund.
Payment may be made by cheque, Visa, Mastercard or American Express.
We can do regular billing on your credit card.
$1 discount per pay period if you accept an e-mail invoice instead
of a paper one.
Customers are responsible for the cost of communications from a
ClariNet feed point to their computer.
Discounts:
Discounts are available to sites that feed other customers.
