ST+ started over 2 years ago almost immediately after the closure of POG, the Panther Owners Group mainly because I was bored.

Armed with my trusty Atari STe I started working out the layout and overall content which was, and always remained non-specific, my reasoning being that should I decided on a specific subject I'd be limiting not only the readership but also the subject matter for people to write about.

The first issue went out and was generally well received, STformat reviewed it and awarded us 71% which wasn't at all bad considering I didn't use the shell to it's full potential, anyway, the months rolled by and ST+ instituted numerous ground breaking concepts that only now are catching on, I'm referring to commercial adverts, complete multimedia documents ect.

We were the FIRST to incorporate the idea of pictures in text, never again would readers be limited to plain, simple ASCII text, now, for the first time on any atari diskmagazine it was possible to use DEGAS PI2 pictures in text, it was a revolution realized by Stosser Software's tony Greenwood, I'm convinced that this had a big impact on he general readership, people from all corners of the world were writing in, Australia, the U.S.A, sweden and germany were just a few of the countries that were regularly obtaining ST+.

Over the last 2 years ST+ has become well know and well respected, with our simple policy of making ST+ a family zine everyone could enjoy.

The latest news wasn't always our best feature however, because we were the only monthly u.k. atari diskzine around you could be sure we weren't far behind but, in most cases, we brought news to the Atari scene well before the u.k.'s only commercial paper mag.

Now of course, after 2 solid years we're about to break into the realm of paper publications ourselves, by now of course you'll have seen the ST+ fanzine pages [and if not why not...here's the URL...], this is our latest endeavor to bring better, newer and all round quality news, reviews and much, much more, ST+ diskmag has reached an impasse therefore I for one am extremely happy to report y status of Editor of the new fanzine, all my philosophies will be ported to the new fanzine so expect more of the same of what you found in ST_ diskmag...only better .
