Temple of Fortune

On Sunday, we first visited Tor's workplace.

We then proceeded towards Hadrian's Villa at Tivoli. On our way there we saw many ruins besides the road.

Before going to Hadrian's Villa we first visited Sanctuary of Dea Fortuna Primigenia (Goddess Fortuna the First-born) in Palestrine.

Encyclopedia Mythica tells about Fortuna:

''The Roman personification of good fortune, originally a goddess of blessing and fertility and in that capacity she was especially worshipped by mothers. Her cult is thought to be introduced by Servius Tullius. She had a temple on the Forum Boarium and a sanctuary, the Fortuna Populi Romani, stood on the Quirinalis. In Praeneste [Palestrine] she had an oracle where a small boy randomly choose a little oak rod (sors), upon which a fate was inscribed. ''
I would guess the well in the front of the temple is the most ''Well of Fortune'' as one can get.
