       USAGE

       eeeexxxxttttsssseeeetttt [_v_a_l_u_e]

       iiiinnnnttttsssseeeetttt [_v_a_l_u_e]

       DESCRIPTION

EEEExxxxttttsssseeeetttt and iiiinnnnttttsssseeeetttt are essentially complements of each other
relative to the complete current image. EEEExxxxttttsssseeeetttt and iiiinnnnttttsssseeeetttt
provide a means of replacing all radii external to or
internal to the current ltrange/lgrange window with either
voids or with radii of _v_a_l_u_e while leaving intact the
complementary interior or exterior region of the image
       defined by that range window.

Invoking eeeexxxxttttsssseeeetttt without an argument assigns void values to
all data points external to the open complement (exterior)
of the set defined by the current ltrange/lgrange window.
Alternatively, you may assign _v_a_l_u_e (in microns) throughout
this same region of the image.

Invoking iiiinnnnttttsssseeeetttt without an argument assigns void values to
all data points of the closed set defined by the current
ltrange/lgrange window. Alternatively, you may assign a
_v_a_l_u_e (in microns) throughout this same region.

An example of the types of tasks in which these two commands
have been found to be very useful is in the construction of
uniform border regions separating sub-regions of images
which are multi-element composites of features derived from
a variety of other images. A purely geometrical design
mosaic of arbitrary complexity can constructed within the
current image space utilizing only these two functions in
concert with the range windowing capability.

Such tasks as constructing transition zones having
properties and geometric relationships different from or
transitional between the remainder of a partially voided, or
otherwise modified, image can be accomplished by the user by
employing a wide variety of other EEEEcccchhhhoooo commands.

       CAVEATS

The effective range of the eeeexxxxttttsssseeeetttt command excludes the
longitudes and latitudes defining the range window.
