Rooms and campsites get booked real early in the year. You will want to enjoy any and all of the varied activities each day, and find your way to a couple of off site events that are pretty fun, like the Washington Kiteflyers Assoc. annual pizza feed and auction/raffle. It is usually on Wed. evening at the Grange hall. Could be at the Edgewater motel this time. ( Dave Christensen can help out here) . The kite buggy club NWBPA will be on the beach all day Monday giving rides and demos. On Thursday, the buggiers will retreat to Sunset beach south of Astoria Oregon, about 45 min. away to really cut loose away from the crowds. Othere WSIKF regular attendees will contribute more to this thread I am sure. It'll be a gas as usual. ************************************************************** Steve Irby sirby@nwlink.com Check out my web page http://www.nwlink.com/~sirby ************************************************************** = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = From: trail@galaxynet.com (Trail) Subject: Re: Long Beach, Washington, in August Date: Sat, 15 Jun 1996 04:13:30 -1000 Organization: Connect Northwest Internet Services, LLC Message-ID: <4pugea$9da@lassen.cnw.com> In article <4ppbct$sii@sjx-ixn4.ix.netcom.com>, rogers55@ix.netcom.co says... >Hi frequent flyers, >Just wondering how many of you might be making the pilgrimage to >what is by all accounts the Mecca of US kite flyers. It says that it is at the World Kite Museum and Hall of Fame from 7-10 P.M.. Cost of admission is $15.00 which gets you script for 5 samples of wine plus cheeses, breads and other nibbles. More script would be available for additional tasting. This is a benefit fund raiser for the museum.
