There's a tremendous difference between carrington and icky strangers, and it's not just the 50g. You might eke out another 1-2mph at the bottom end of the range, but far more important is the improvement in handling and trickability. The icky kite is faster, smoother, and more radical. The carrington kite is a bit boring in comparison. Jeff -- |Jeffrey C. Hi Jeff, I own an "icky" Stranger and I flow a carrington version last week. I agree that there is a noticeable difference between both versions. I'm happy to own the icky one! It's gives a more sensible and direct feeling. Also you can feeling that the kite is no so heavy - it seems to be a difference of much more than 50g. The icky Stranger will fly in lower winds and it's easier to fly it near (or into) water. The Icarex will dry much faster.
