I have two questions: 1) Does anyone out there know of a source of second hand Flexifoils (in the UK if possible). I am thinking about building a stack of 6 foot Flexi's and would like to keep prices *sensible*. (A stack of 10 foot foils would be nice) 2) What is the optimum space between Flexifoils in a stack.. I have done a lot of sailing in the past, and we use the air flow over one sail to set up the flow over the next. Do the same rules apply to kites? Any comments appreciated. I have not found the FAQ yet so I apologise if I have covered material that is available else where. We used the length of one flexi between attachment points. In other words, if you are flying 6 ft flexis, you would space them approximately 6 ft apart. If you are using multiple size flexis, you would attach the largest one at the end of your lines and stake off the handle end. Then you would place the next largest flexi at the point in your lines where the rod touches both lines naturally. Damn, that sounds confusing, I wish I could show you, it would be alot easier. Use about 3/4 of the length of the kite for spacing. 4 feet for the stackers (6 footers) 6 feet for the pro-teams (8 footers) 8 feet for the super tens (duh) If you are using > multiple size flexis, you would attach the largest one at the end of your > lines and stake off the handle end. Be very careful about staking flexis. They have a tendency to self launch, do a big circle, and plummet to the ground at over 100 MPH! POP! > ---------snNiP_________------______------- NoT dRuGs!
