Can anyone shed any light on the matter. Can anyone shed any light on the matter. This looks like a question for me... The buggy is designed by Peter to suit Flexifoil. Main features include: - 2 position rake (or is that castor?) setting. The settings are either side of the Lynn setting. One is more stable for high speed, the other is more twith for trick work and better control in reverse. - Different fork design - more like a bike fork. I don't see an advantage or disadvantage - just different. - Fabric bucket seat. Ideal for naked buggying. Protection against shrapnel from the front wheel. - Different seat frame. Higher to suspend the seat. - rear axel with corners (it goes up to support the seat) if you bend it, you can't turn it upside down to bend it back. - Seat slightly forward from original buggy - this spreads more weight to the front wheel - you can take slightly more power before the tail slides. This makes a small but significant difference during racing. The Lynn buggy has been modified to match. All in all a good buggy. I have a bias towards not ripping off the original designer, so I would reccommend choosing from: - Lynn (The original, but the design is updated and improved in small ways more-or-less every month) - Flexi/Cobra (Designed by Peter) - Steve Shapson (He builds rip off's but asked for and obtained permission - now proudy announced in his literature) - Phaeton (A completely different and large design from Germany) - Zeph 1 Chariot (a rather flimsy but *original* design from France) Also check out side-ways and other original designs from Germany Flexifoil only sell kites through dealers with shops and there is little difference in price. I'm surprised to see a large range of prices. I suspect that the high end is ripping you off and the low end is making some kind of error. The raised rear axel pushes on your spine and after a short while you get a painful bruise. There is a pad on the axel but it is totally inadequate. Maybe some body smaller than I would not experience this problem but I am just slightly larger than average at 195 lbs. Also the seat only really fits a small ass like Peter Lynn has. I bought a molded plastic seat that goes in a bass fishing boat (only $13) and removed the rotating mechanism on the bottom. I then cut a series of slots on the side of the seat and in the back and front of the seat. The seat was then suspend[A[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[D[D[D[D[ D[D[Bs[B[B[B[B[B[B[C[C[C[C[C[C[C[Ded on nylon webbing to the same level as the original seat so that the center of gravity would stay the same. I now really like the buggy it is much more comfortable and can be used for long periods of time without any discomfort. I highly reccomend this modification for general usage. Maybe for racing you might not want to do this I don't know but in any case the original seat can be re-installed in about 3 to 5 minutes.
