Only last week I went out and bought a 6ft foil (checker design). I am not an expert on the flexifoil, but I may be able to shed some light on your problem. You will notice that the leading edge spar bends a fair bit when under load. During such conditions the vent along the front of the flexi will become distorted, particularly towards the spar tips. It may be that your flexi is distorting to such an extent that the vent on the end cell closes. Two reasons which come to mind as to why it closes are: 1) the vent is a tad too narrow at the end causing the problem. 2) the pocket which the spar slips down may also be to narrow. A fix that may work without adjusting the "bag" is to move the little grommets on the spar in a bit, to decrease the stress on the bag. I take it you bought a flexi foil spar?? Remember, I don't know much about flexis, so anyone please correct me if I am wrong! Grant... PS: I was planning on going to Adelaide for the Championships but money and time are preventing me.
