Fellow Kiters: My son has had a Cheetah for about 2 years (purchased for him as a first delta stunter when he was 10). He has enjoyed the kite very much. The sail has stretched to the point where even a slightly hard crash causes disassembly of the frame. Can one install longer cross pieces in the frame and/or longer stand-offs to tighten up the sail? If so, are there any negatives to doing so? They will probably need to be only slightly oversize. I'd do the spars first, then cut the standoff's to fit. Or just learn how to never crash it ! ( then pass on the secret...:). They will probably need to be only slightly oversize. I would have assumed that the vinyl was worn and would try: 1) fitting new vinyls 2) wrapping tape round the spar-end 3) buying the nylon lock-pieces that come with the Scorpion to hold the joint firm. I'll avoid describing these - go to a Flexifoil Scorpion dealer and ask!
