I hope I'm not crossing any lines or entering the realm of poor taste here, but I wanted to offer up a suggestion. Please do not mistake this as advertising. This is simply FYI. In discussing by private email with a fellow kiter in the Western New York (which is a state in USA for the geographically challenged :-) ) the idea of diversions for children at festivals came up. I said that I do balloon sculpting (animals, hats, other appropriate figures) and thought it was a good idea to offer to kids at kite events. As this idea was met with some measure of excitement, I felt I may want to offer the suggestion to all on rec.kites. That's it! No discussion of rates, fees or other business related stuff. If you would like info, let me know. Apologies in advance for any I may offend, Jack Porcello porcelloj@orion.crc.monroecc.edu = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Fri, 5 May 1995 07:31:06 -1000 From: Mark de Roussier Message-Id: <799719843snx@murder.demon.co.uk> Organization: damage Subject: Re: Festival Idea In article <0098FDB6.162AD240.27@orion.crc.monroecc.edu> porcelloj@orion.crc.monroecc.edu writes: > Hello all! > > I hope I'm not crossing any lines or entering the realm of poor taste > here, but I wanted to offer up a suggestion. Such balloons are also relatively kite-friendly - any interaction between balloon and kite, and usually the kite will win. And I recall hearing recently that the US Government has an enormous stockpile of helium that it wants to shift 'cos it costs so much to store it...:). -- Mark de Roussier ************************************ A nice man is a man of nasty ideas.
