What is a feather? What is a turtle? Ive heard both of these terms used to describe the trick when the kite is given a throw of line to cause it to go onto its back, floating. When was the last time anyone saw a turtle in the air, floating downward? The kite resembles the decent of a freshly plucked feather off of a flying bird more so than a turtle on its back. I was exposed to a trick called a turtle by the old Top of the Line publication "Wing Tips", vol.1, no. 2. It involved fliping the kite faceward when it was on its back on the ground, downwind. Hence the name turtle. Flying along. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
