There has been some effort on the part of those who post rec.kites FAQs to *not* post all the same day (so that those who receive rec.kites via email do not have a huge influx on one day) and to *not* post on days like 'the first of the month' so as to spread network traffic out. I can only remember which day I'm supposed to post the General FAQ, and, yes, I missed it in January due to some slightly unexpected travel (anyone willing to help me set up automatic posting?) and decided to wait til February when I thought I'd have more new stuff to add (so I'll reply to everyone who asks about FAQs, ok? :-).
