The Flexi Challenge is a new marketing gimmick thought up by Cobra Kites (Ray and Jeannie Merry). Basically it's an Open Individual Ballet competition where every competitor must fly a real Flexifoil (no Speedfoils or other look-alikes allowed). So far as I know, there's no restriction on the kites as long as they're official equipment. The event was run in the midst of the other events at ECSKC, and cost $15 to enter (normal events are only $10). All people who competed got Cobra t-shirts. The winners got rainbow Flexi's (6', 8', 10' for 3rd, 2nd, 1st place) as well as ECSKC plaques. I believe this was the second running of the challenge, the first having been at another Eastern League event this year. I don't know if it will be a regular event on the circuit this year. Festival for the last two years, and thy're just starting to make a point of announcing the types of kites flown. As a beginner, I really appreciate being able to put the catalog photos together with the actual performance. Thanks again...
