In the past two years (since I am reading rec.kites) I have seen so many good contributions ot rec.kites, that I could imagine we even could make a complete issue of the DRAma. If you look at the regular stuff in a DRAma issue there are - reports about festivals - plans - flying technique - technical tips - test reports - festival schedules - results from masterships All of these topics are also covered at rec.kites. If we find enough rec.kiters to write articles for such an issue (if there is interest in doing such a thing), we might be able to persuade Axel to do such an experiment. I know that Axel earns his money from making DRAma, so everything depends on his agreement, but I am sure we could produce a very good, actual and interesting DRAma-issue. And we have already got some former/current DRAma-writers online: Simo Salanne, Ralf Dietrich, David Gomberg, Axel Voss, Sven Hapke, Thorsten Schmitt, (I am sure I have let out many of you, please forgive me). And I think the rec.kites.pin-project has proven, that there are people on rec.kites who manage such a complex plan. Is there any interest on rec.kites for such a plan? Axel, are you listening? It could be done as a Special Issue, separately to the usual issues. However, what is of superior importance right now, is that we would be very grateful for contributions to our ordinary issues! For all of you who do not know it yet, we are switching our cycle of publication from quarterly to sixweekly as from 1995. These issues need to be filled. Of course we have materials already for issue 1/95 (completely) and issue 2/95 (almost completely) and also for some of the further issues. But we are alyways looking for new stuff, and good(!!) stuff. So whoever wishes to join the club, is cordially invited to do so. Of course, we do not expect that you are doing it for free and within our possibilities we will remunerate as in accordance with agreements between the Publishers Federation and the Journalists Union. A main plan and idea for the future is to feature countries. Most of our readers haven't been to festivals abroad. They just hear about it and occasionally read about it The idea is a series such as Kiting in Italy Kiting in France Kiting in Danmark Kiting in Mongolia :-))) Such articles should feature well known and less known kiters from these countries, list up good flying spots, directories of clubs, kite shops, (historical) kites significant for these countries, etc. This excercise need kiters who have an good(!) knowledge about the corresponding country.
