Btw. what -is the regular name of this move ? -By double turtle I refer to a situation where your kite, beeing in a -turtle (feather) situation, keep on spining a half turn, passes its noze -between the lines and thus is flying in a normal way except that the -lines are warped arround him. Sounds like a kite dependent move, Philippe. The very few times I've been able get my Katana in this position, just pulling the lines would flip it back out. This move is also called a "back flip" by some. The only kite that I've tried that does this easily is the Prism Ion. You can turtle the Ion by just over snap-stalling it. You can keep it feathered over by keeping tension off the lines because as soon as you pull up, it pops right back out. Its a neat trick because you can snap stall it over at just about any elevation, and because it recovers so easily, you can do this trick very close to the ground. Anyways, if you really hit the snap stall extra hard, with extra speed and immediately snap your hands forward afterwards, the Ion will back flip over and up through the lines. The recovery is difficult only because the Ion has a tendency to snag lines when it unrolls itself. If you strung a piece of line thru the wing tips and tail, and, modified the whiskers, it might return flip through cleanly, though. To undo your kite, you might try just pushing one hand forward to get your kite inverted and then try pulling it out (sometimes a change of position will help). The Reactor will fly in the position you describe. Team Tsunami used a flip launch once upon a time and would make the kite forward roll out by snapping both lines sharply. At any rate, pretty nice stunt! -Bert = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
