It currently has 1/4" solid fiberglass rods for the wing and keel spars, but they are really flexible and somewhat heavy. At one time the cross spar was (yikes) a piece of conduit. I haven't flown it at all in many years, but I would like to get it airborne again, and I was looking for better materials for spars. Any suggestions? I have looked in some catalogs, and I was thinking of something in hollow fiberglass, but I have no idea what size would give the best strength/weight/stiffness combination. Any suggestions?
