Message-ID: <4ml7ou$kv3@daily-planet.execpc.com> Every year, out Pack has an annual kite fly outing. The kids want to get more sophisticated and the leaders would like to help them. I am looking for a string winder that could be used as a project for Cub Scouts. I am looking for something which could use normal tools and materials and hopefully will reel in the line quickly. Also, is it possible to get the standard inexpensive paper & wood kites including Box kites anymore? We like to provide kites to kids and siblings free (the Pack would pay for them)? I have ask many of the Wisconsin Kite Association members but nobody has seen them because nobody has been looking for them. Also, one of the Cub projects shows how to make a kite. If I use wood, it would be cheap but not state of the art. Should I use the square plastic rods and other hardware for making a inexpensive kite? Can anyone recommend a good kite supply house? Thank you from a novice who is trying to inspire young people in the art of flying a kite! Keep on my tail and I'll locate the name of the best book for what you need. K. Goodwind = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
