If you read the AKA Inter-Mountain report, you know that our Fall festival was a huge success. This time we've expanded to a two day even and have added more divisions. Regestration will begin at 9:00am on Saturday with the first events starting at 10:00am. All competetors must regester at least one hour prior to the event. We will follow the 1993 AKA stunt kite rules. Stunt kite events will include: Novice Precision: Figures 1, 4 & 5 Inter. Precision: Figures 8, 11 & 15 Exp./Masters Prec: Figures 16, 19 & 24 Intermediate and Upper division/Open class ballet We are young and building in the Southwest. We have lots of new stunt pilots so our current emphasis is on the lower competition levels. However, we strongly encourage upper division fliers to compete. You will be assigned AKA points for your efforts in accordance with AKA policies. We will also have a 3 heat round-robin fighter kite competition, and 2 Rok battles. We will have a single line "vanity" kite pagent and line laundry display. Awards will be given for all events. Saturday night will be a Sunset/Night Fly so bring your lights.... Preregestration is $10 for all awarded events ($15 late fee after Feb. 26). Individual events can be regestered for $5 each. Interested parties should contact me toll-free at 1-800-266-6245 Box 29493 and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. I can also be reached via email at dhines@as.arizona.edu. Additional information can be obtained from Joan at Imaginations (520)326-3442. We are confident that this will be a fantastic time for all. We plan to make this a powerful annual event which will start the season off each year in the beutiful, warm Southwest. While the rest of the country is freezing and covered in snow, we're basking in 70 degree sunshine... Come Join Us!!! Dean C.
