I need atlest 3 6fts to work up a sweat in anything other than a gale (I fly 6 normally). I am 6ft tall but built like a matchstick with the wood shaved off :-) As for addresses for mail order, have a look in the faq. Its at ftp.hawaii.edu in pub/rec/kites. Loads of good stuff there. Well, Okay, I admit it...I've been lurking in this newsgroup for almost a month now, and I figure its about time I stood up to be counted (so to speak). I live in Peterborough, Ontario Canada, and obviously, I love kites (or I wouldn't be here ;-). I've built lots of paper/plastic one- liners, but I think I'll try my hand at nylon this summer...If I can get a decent summer job (I'm a starving student). If its not too much trouble, I'd appreciate it if someone could E-mail me the FTP sites where I could get some (pereferably simple) plans for nylon kites...both single and dual line. I've been flying dual line stunt kites for almost 2 years now, and my kites have saved me from many a stress breakdown during essay and exam crunches (they've also been partially responsible for making those crunches happen...I often skip off class to go flying when the wind is 'just right'...I'm sure all of you can relate ;-). My first 2-liner was a little trlby Diamond kite (which is, needless to say, rather battered from all of those little 'accidents') and I am currently flying my second stunter, a Skynasaur Delta, which I like very much, but I really would like to move up to something a little more challenging physically. I've thought about investing in a 4' Flexi, (any other suggestions for a medium sized, but challenging kite?..preferably with a reasonable price tag). Also, I was wondering if any of you kite-types out there could E-mail me with some mail-order catalogs for kites and supplies? (My area is sadly lacking ANY form of Kite Store...decent or otherwise). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks and good flying.... Steve McNabb = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
