Last year after we held a very sucessful Bluebonnet Kite Fest in San Marcos, TX an event organizer of suchs put together a balloon festival in the same area we held the kite festival. The event program was one to die for. There must have been well over $25,000 plus dollars in advertisments. All in a program handed out to the public for free. Wow! I couldn't believe someone could do this. I wanted to get connected with this guy. They advertised that there would be over 90 balloonists and the event was sanctioned by the American Balloonists Association (or something like that). They contracted (sold space) to a small carnival with rides for the kids. And also sold space to vendors. Over 100 vendors in all. I was amazed. The day of the event, there was 1 balloon. Everyone involved with the event wanted a piece of the event organizer. If he had been available there would probably have been a linch mob out to hang him. As it were he took his false ads on the road to Kansas then left the country. Point. It's the responsibility of the event organizer not the sanctioning body. -- *************>>>>>>>>>>>>>MR.NASTY<<<<<<<<<<<<<************** Fiesta Kite Ideas http://www.tmn.com/kiteweb/home.htm 8302 Tiguex Mr.Nasty@ix.netcom.com Universal City, TX 78148 (210) 659-1803 or (512) 326-6221 ************************************************************* = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
