However there are many Trick-kites on the market this year and none of them are the same. With the Eclipse some tricks are easy, others aren't possible. If you like a smooth kite which make tricks slowly and nicely, then the Eclipse is a good choice. I love very much the new kite from Buena Vista, the Sonic. This is just as radical as I like it. Tricks are easy to perform, but makes them faster and heavier than the Eclipse. Other would be the Box of Tricks from Fizz Sport, Great Britain, which is an easy performing trick kite. And so on and so on....there are really a lot of good tricky kites, but none will perform any good tricks, if you as the pilot will not take out of it whatever it can. Like with other kites, trick-kites are different >From each other. Once you have one, you also would like to have an other. So if the Eclipse is looking at you as a nice good kite, go for it. I am a rad flyer out here in Ocean Shores, Washington. I love trick kites and the Eclipse is one of them. Pretty much it's a case of name it and it does it... Other kites to consider are the MEFM (the bridle system is a little intense, but once you get the hang of it, it's fun, fun, fun!), the Reflex (brand new from Fizz... Great 3/4 wing. nice flat axels, quick response, stable, capable of a lot of tricks... just a tad heavy, so use it higher winds.), the Psycho (WOW! not a moment of controlled flight in this one! It loves tricks in a big way. Andy Preston found the way to my heart... RAD!), The Hard Corps (new from Diggles Kites... Kite Nirvana for the Rad flyer... spent the last two days bangin' on the prototype of this one... still can't find a trick it won't do... fast, agressive, very responsive, fully adjustable bridle at all six points, great wind range (flew the standard in 2 mph in the morning and 20+ in the afternoon).. the ultra light is a zero wind up to five to six mph flyer... does radical... does precision... what more could a wind junkie ask for :-)... No matter what you pick... they are all great trick kites... Keep it in the wind... But it is not very precise, and it is very difficult to take on when it is on the edge. If you have much more money, you should buy the MEFM which is for me the best kite: Tricky, precise, complete...much more than the others, but much more expensive. The trixter is also quite a very good tricky kite, and less expensive. So, i think that if you were seduce by the Eclipse, you can buy it..be sure you'll have fun.
