(1-800-827-6364) Subject: Coming Buggy Events Two outstanding buggy events are on the fall/winter calender. November finds the World Cup in Australia. Immediately after the close of World Cup, we depart on a 6 day Outback Buggy Safari to the Indian Ocean shore at the Coorong, South Australia, then up into the interior at Lake Gairdner (site of the Aussie Land Speed Record Attempt). Inclusive costs will be between $30-$50 per day. Beer is extra. Let me know if you are interested. In January, immediately after the KTA in San Diego, we will drive 3 hours to El Mirage Dry Lake for Buggy Boogie Thang 2. The first one was incredible and this one offers more varied terrain and nearly as much room. Contact me for more detailed info. I'd love to come, but I am booked in for a Liver Transplant, and replacement of any other ancillary organs that have been damaged during the preceding 10 days of the festival!!!! The lake is an open area and some will no doubt arrive early and stay late. Camping on the lake bed is permitted. Mid-week is safest for the buggy as there are few cars and people. Expenses on the Buggy Newz have been running $250 - $300 per issue. Less than half of the subscribers contribute. Lucky for me I am not doing it for the money. Still, it does get expensive and everyone who helps has a special place in my heart. And the knowledge they are helping to spread the word on the Joy Of Buggy around the world. Next issue due soon. Sorry I am running a bit behind. We'll arrive early and stay late, it should be a bareable temparature that time of year and hopefully even have a little wind. There are many areas to explore, it is more than just a parking lot. It is reported God even comes down to earth here to visit stranded buggyers in the middle of the night. i even hear #3 Travo will be there. Dquad & i are building new bags, there is even a flagpole nearby for Coby's buggy. The infamous Scott Dwyer will be there, people will buggy naked. Strange things are found under rocks in the middle of the expanse. Lights come out of the night. High speed. Show girls. A horse. Don't miss it. Notice to Europeans, Phillip McConnie will be there and will race. i'll race too if there is any interest in it. So if you guys don't want to cruise, you can compete, tho you might lose. Of course, Travo and Dodd will be there so you can be assured of beating someone, but Fritz and i are not gonna be going slow. . . Anyway, we'll have a great time, we'll out number Corey, and have a few beers. Do come, you can fly into Vegas or LA and get there by osmosis. aoxomoxoa get pumped for BBTII = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Sun, 30 Jul 1995 08:03:52 -1000 From: coreykite@aol.com (Coreykite) Message-Id: <3vghi8$6fr@newsbf02.news.aol.com> Organization: America Online, Inc.
