Subject: Cicada .. has anyone built/flown one

Hi Everyone,

I am thinking of building a Cicada from Stunt Kites by Servaas van der Horst
and Nop Velthuizen. I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has any
comments on the performance or building of this kite.

Very stable at light winds, especially its smaller brother 'Gizmo', the one
I built. At higher windspeeds, very fast turns. It's a nice team kite. I
can't give you comparisons with similar kites, as I'm kinda short of
building plans...

I've made a Cicada and found the plans were just fine.  I used Icarex over
a carbonlite frame and have found the kite very solid in light winds and
able to do most groundwork manuvers well!  It axels with preactice but
much wider than say... the Tracer.  I would recommend this kite highly.
P.S  bridle it with the nose as far back as possible.  good winds
