We are now finalizing plans for a kite tour of China in April of 1996. Planned stops include Shanghai, Xian, Weifang, and Beijing. The Weifang Festival is one of China's largest. And a crowded festival in China means a REALLY big crowd. The event includes an opening parade (which you get to march in), fireworks, free flying, and the Chinese national competition. We will also visit several kitemakers and do some serious shopping. But that's just Weifang. We will also visit the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, Great Wall, terra cotta warriors, art deco center (Art deco in Shanghai? You bet!) and lots of other cultural, historic, and shopping sites. The trip is planned for 10-12 days. Cost is roughly $2600 for everything - airfare, lodging, and food. Prices may vary depending on where you need to fly from. I know this is a lot of money, but then, how much would it cost you to go to Cleveland for twelve days? Drop me an email, fax or note is you are interested in joining us. -- David Gomberg phone 503-996-3083 Box 113, Neotsu Oregon 97364 USA fax 503-994-9692 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Sun, 20 Aug 1995 12:23:03 -1000 From: ad8qc@qcvaxa.acc.qc.edu Message-Id: <41897k$m8m@news.cuny.edu> Organization: Queens College, CUNY Subject: RE: China Kite Tour '96 In Article <40nsj4$a67@ednet1.osl.or.gov> dgomberg@ednet1.osl.or.gov (David Gomberg) writes: > >Ever dream of flying kites off the Great Wall?? > >We are now finalizing plans for a kite tour of China in April >of 1996.
