Does anyone have any suggestions where on might get the cheapest
line  ?

I'm looking for 150ft 300lbs Spectra/Dyneema - my local dealer sells
this (Dyneema that is) for GBP 13.99  is this a `good' price.

Hang out around team flyers.

Team flying puts more of a demand on flying line. Because of wraps and
other moves, line becomes unusable pretty fast for team flying.
Knotted line also doesn't work well for teams.

Storm Front goes through a lot of line. When we retire a set, the line
is still usable. A knot, or splice, in the line doesn't affect
individual flying much.

I think your price for spectra/dyneema sounds
so-so. Cannock kites are selling 300ft x 300lb at
18.75 quid (phone 0543 573177). You should phone 
a number of retailers. In my opinion, dyneema
is as good as spectra. 

Note: I have no links with Cannock, I
just happen to have one of their price lists to hand
