At the last Kite Festival the stunt buggy racers had a great time, 
what with a 4500 foot runway and most of the field to themselves 
they were in buggy heaven ( wet buggy heaven ).

It is hoped that the International Buggy Racers attending the World 
Kiting Festival in Napier will be coming to show their skills at 
Wigram. We plan to have pursuit racing, a circuit race, cross 
country and possibly time trials.

Other events planned are Single Line Displays, a Rokkaku Challenge, 
a Fighter Kite competition and a Stunt Kite competition for teams.

The emphasis at the Canterbury Festival is on fun. The competitions 
are open to all and all must be seen to be having fun.

Last Festival, for the first time we held competitions, open to both 
the general public and the registered flyers. These we plan to hold 
again and there will be prizes.
