The book says a flat-stitched seam on the reverse side of the material. I hate to ask, but can anyone send me a crude ascii art diagram to set me straight? I know my sewing knowledge isn't what it should be, but this is my first kite project. Thanks. -- __________________________________________________ Tom Hawkins tdh753@holly.colostate.edu __________________________________________________ = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Sat, 27 Jan 1996 23:54:17 -1000 From: pchandler@sidewinder.win-uk.net (Paul Chandler) Message-Id: <24@sidewinder.win-uk.net> Subject: Re: Camber Seams on Speedwing Super (SKII) In article <4ee1gb$4mq2@holly.ACNS.ColoState.EDU>, Tom Hawkins (tdh753@holly.ACNS.ColoState.EDU) writes: >Exactly what type of seam should be used for the camber in the >Speedwing Super? I will try (but sewing is a lot easier) first sew with the two layers on top of each other: (both have the same camber-curve for easy sewing) | ------------------------- ------------------------- | Then turn over and open up. flatten out the seam and re-stich. | ==== _____________________________]|_____________________________ | You could make it look better by folding the seam back in. (by the way this not the only method) Good luck, NOP = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
