I have found a lot of kite plans files in the net but all of them in gif or .jpg format. I think that .dxf or other vectorial formats for kite plans are better because in the same file lenght is possible to put more details and informations. If someone else is interested about this subject please contact me. P.S. I hope that you understand my awful english... Ciao. Subject: Re: CAD kite plans Alberto, First off hello, and don't apologize for your English! It is much better than many native English speakers who are are on the net regularly!! I'm relatively new to the sport of kite flying. I did my stint as a child flying a garbage bag with 2 bamboo poles it it. Now as an adult I would like to see where the sport has gone. I'd like to know where you have managed to find kite plan .gif and jpg images on the net? I'd like to build my own 2 line, stunt kite and I haven't been able to find drawings/plans/dimensions/instructions/mysterious hints on little scraps of paper anywhere. ANY help would be much apreciated!! About the image formats, most people can find a .gif or .jpg viewer, but few own good CAD software. I know it doesn't seem like a very good reason but it has to do with allowing access to the maximum number of people. Any images or info would be much appreciated... Talk to you again soon... Unsuprising really, most browsers support and print out gifs and jpegs without problem, whatever the platform. There is no generally internal support for vector format files. > I think that .dxf or other vectorial formats for kite plans are better > because in the same file lenght is possible to put more details and > informations. True, the information is preserved and encoded in a method which allows accurate reproduction and scaling, but probably only a few people have access to CAD software to output it. Some plans are however posted as Postscript which will print very accurately. > If someone else is interested about this subject please contact me. > P.S.
