Can the software be FTP from somewhere. BTW: Is Flexi-Foil a brand name? If so, what's the real name of this type of kite. The closest you'll get is probably the plan for the Speedfoil in Nop Velthuizen's _Stunt Kites_, which has been published in both English and Dutch. >BTW: Is Flexi-Foil a brand name? If so, what's the real name of this >type of kite. Yes, Flexifoil. While one might try to fit the flexi into the parafoil class, it doesn't really fit since it's not completely soft. What the flexi and parafoil do share in common is that they use wind-inflated airfoils. The speedfoil is the only kite I know of based around the flexifoil concept and gives credit to the flexi... Yeah, it's patented, actually, though the patent runs out soon I think. The kite You get from following the plan is also very fine. Highly recommended. See You on FAN0, ______________ Rolf V. If so, what's the real name of this >type of kite. The names are a little confusing... As I understand it, "Flexifoil" is the name of the Company, who also make for example the Flexifoil Scorpion. The name of the kite to which you refer is the "Power Kite" (they were first, so they get the obvious name). There are several models of the Flexifoil Power Kite, including (from memory): Hotshot 4 Stacker Quatro Splitz Team 8 Super 10 Hyper 12 However, most people use "Flexifoil" to refer to the "Flexifoil Power Kite" and "power kite" to refer to any 2 or 4 line kite that pulls hard. BTW, If I recall correctly, the Flexi patent is available on Carl's Web site. Andrew -- New to rec.kites?
