I'm interested in whether there self-made vehicles or purchased? If any northern Californians are involved, locations, sites, and events, if they exist would be appreciated. Thanks Robert Padilla Also, there is a west coast event held at the Berkley Marina (California) at the end of July. Not a major event, but a nice one to visit with friends and fellow fliers. = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Sat, 16 Jul 1994 06:08:15 -1000 From: windwiz@rain.org (Dan Rubesh) Message-Id: <3090lf$hi@rain.org> Organization: Regional Access Information Network (RAIN) Subject: Re: Buggy Information Robert_Padilla_at_MATCALS__MSF@mare.nosc.mil writes: > Could someone direct me to where I may acquire more information about > the buggy-mobiles that I've seen mentioned here. Other prominent makers are Land Lizard, (Australia), and the FlexiFoil Cobra buggy, designed by Peter Lynn. There are several kite dealers on the left coast that handle them, like High Line Kites of Berkeley, Windborne Kites in Monterrey, CA, and Wind Wizard (that's me).. You might want to call Windborne Kites (408) 373-7422 and ask for a copy of Buggy Newz, or watch for the electronic version of Buggy News 2.2 that I'll post to the net (witrhout the stunning graphics) as soon as Corey send me the disk, and I get it de-MAC-ifyed.. > If any northern Californians are involved, locations, sites, and > events, if they exist would be appreciated. If you'll go by North Waterfront Park at Berkeley Marina, site of the upcoming West Coast Stunt Kite Championships, you'll likeley find Darrin Skinner, Tom McAlister (Owner of High Line Kites), the Morrison clan, among others that are buggying.. There is a buggy bash planned for Aug 1st, the Monday following Berkeley at Ocean Beach Park in San Francisco, as well.. > Thanks > > Robert Padilla > > Also, there is a west coast event held at the Berkley Marina > (California) at the end of July. Disclaimer: I am a stunt kite dealer and carry some of the above mentioned product(s). As such, my opinions may tend to be somewhat subjective. -- Tako Buggy Naked Kichi!! There are lots of places that will sell you one--both shops and mail order. >If any northern Californians are involved, locations, sites, and >events, if they exist would be appreciated. You should go to Long Beach. The buggiers will be at the Long Beach, WA Kite fest in August and they will be buggying. >Thanks >Robert Padilla >Also, there is a west coast event held at the Berkley Marina >(California) at the end of July. I don't know if there will be room to buggy, but have you noted the timing of the this event and the the Summer Buggy Boogie Thang. It is no accident that these two events are consecutive. It's them best way to get east coast kite fliers/buggiers to go to both.
