Basically, anything that has to do with it, but mostly, I'm looking for a source of wheels. Anyone have some good recommendations on what kind to use and where to get them? --Chcuk Henderson = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Tue, 5 Mar 1996 23:45:27 -1000 From: tpink@wheel.dcn.davis.ca.us (T. His name is Dan Rubesh and he has a web page for his kite business. On the bottom of his web page, he has for sale kite buggy wheels and I am sure he could find other types for you too. The address is http://www.west.net/~windwiz/ Take a look and send him some email or call his phone number listed on the web page. I am sure he can answer any of your questions on wheels and building buggies. May have to find a bearing shop for those. In Seattle area (Everett) it's Bearings Incorporated. I've seen a lot of the metal wheelbarrow wheels used on home built buggies, but they are awfully heavy. Don't know of a source of the plastic rims other than the current buggy manufacturers. Maybe someone else does. Haven't checked, but I would think that one of the go-Kart magazines would be a good place to check for mail order parts. Take a look at Dave Lord's homepage. He has a whole section on home-built buggies. He'll reply to this post also with the URL, unless he's already on his way to Ivanpah. Hope this helps a little.
