Any thoughts from those who have buggied? = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Sun, 21 Jan 1996 09:05:34 -1000 From: miel@knoware.nl (Emiel Stroeve) Message-Id: <4du2f4$7dv@news.knoware.nl> Organization: Knoware Internet Subject: Re: buggiing (?sp) - I'm trying to invent the wheel pcreel@sos.net (Paul Creelman) wrote: >Haven't seen a buggy in action, but would like to make one for a grassy field/ >beach >Seems a chariot of sorts with wheel chair wheels, >perhaps with brakes controlled by "weight shifting" aft with a "dragging" >brake - ground dragger coming out the back of the chariot that would drag on >the ground >or > a "leading" brake out in front that would drag when you weight >shifted forward might work. >Any thoughts from those who have buggied? The only good brake you have on a buggy is the kite itself. steer it (the kite) upwards and the buggy against the wind therefor the kite will force the buggy to slow down. There is some experience needed here, so don't start doing this with people around. emiel Emiel Stroeve The Netherlands miel@knoware.nl --------------------------------------------------------------------------- <<< *** http://www.euronet.nl/users/mielse/index.html *** >>> = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
