From: John W.R. You know, like !Arm the Photon Torpedoes. As soon as the Romulans de-..........! never mind. Probably feels the same though. I have just finished reading the most fascinating pamphlet - !Buggies, Boats & Peels! (BBP) by Peter Lynn and available from Kitelines. In it is everything I ever wanted to know about my Peel. He gives the history of, and rationale for building, the Peel. He expounds on Buggies (and running >>1X true wind speed), Buggy Racing hints & tips, Boat Traction & the imminent revelation of a water re-launch system he has in development, and ........... ............. a table of Bridle measurements for blueprinting your system back to as-new should the need arise. This includes all 3 Peels as well as the new Reefers, as well as tuning tips to avoid Luffing (both Apparent Wind and Pressure), and on, and on... This guy blows me away!! I really wish that everyone who builds and markets kites would at least consider a small project such as this, in those cases where it would be appropriate. Like the other day, I saw a thread refer to reducing the rear bridle length on a Quad by 8!. Why? Which model? Q25? And the business of disconnecting the cross-line on the Quad. What a treat! It transformed my wee Q. But I understand these tips came from K.I. I guess that I!m hoping that the chap who does the Quads would do a pamphlet like BBP. Presumeably, who would know it better? Spars??????? What!s that, something you eat? Back into the shadows. -----> johnj John W.R.
