Date: Mon, 24 Oct 1994 11:23:44 -0800 From: cameron1@llnl.gov (George Cameron) Subject: Books available on radical flying??? I have looked through all the books in my "local" kite shops and find a remarkable lack of material describing "all the neat radical tricks". Just about all the books I have seen focus on the beginner, with a few words given to radical stuff at the end of the book. Does anybody know of a good book, geared toward the intermediate flier, which describes how to do "all the neat radical tricks"? Does such a book exist at all?? Maybe this could be an opportunity for a few masters class pilots to get together and write something which would help extend the art to those of us not fortunate enough to learn directly from the masters themselves. Comments appreciated... ________________________________________________________________________ George Cameron | Frequent Stunt Kite Flier Tracy, CA | Anytime the wind blows ... Check out the rec.kites archive, maintained by Kevin Mayeshiro (thanks Kevin). Anonymous ftp, ftp.hawaii.edu, pub/rec/kites. Several rec.kiters have been writing detailed descriptions of how to do all sorts of tricks, and from some of the follow-ups, it sounds as if other flyers are learning to do the tricks from these descriptions. I'd guess the archive has the best collection of how-to's around.
