Date: Wed, 8 May 1996 09:47:39 -1000 Organization: University of California, Berkeley Message-ID: <4mqtor$cgf@agate.berkeley.edu> I am looking for someplaces to fly in the East Bay. (Other than the marina--since the wind there has been gusting 25+ the last few days.) Am not quite a novice; I don't crash much, but am still working on the snap-stall. Just looking for a nice and consistent breeze since the marina is just too heavy (at least for me -- and I haven't too many other people out there the last few days either.) Any suggestions on alternate sites that are a bit less of a arm workout? Thanks in advance!! Take Stevenson Blvd (off 880) and go toward the hills, at the last right (Galudet) before the hills turn right into the park. Or, Sportsman sport park in Newark. Take Mowry exit, off 880, go toward the bay. The park is on the left after about 1 mile. The road ends, just after that so you can't miss it. Or, we used to fly at the San Leandro Marina Park. Take Marina exit, off 880, and head toward the bay. Stay on the road after it curves south and the park is on the right.
