I'm new to this group and also new to kiting. My husband and I bought a cheap kite a few weeks ago and enjoyed flying it. We live near the beach and we have fairly strong winds (most of the time). I would like to try flying a kite with more than just a single string, or try some tricks with kites, but there are no stores in our area that sell anything really neat in the way of kites. Does anyone know of a mail order source for kites? or maybe a good book that would teach me how to do tricks with a really basic kite? (Can you do tricks with just a triangular piece of plastic with a single tail?) Thanks for any advice, and I apoligize if this question has been answered recently. I looked through the posts that my newsfeeder didn't weed out, and I didn't find the name of any stores. Thanks, Susan = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Tue, 22 Mar 1994 21:03:28 -1000 From: clifford anderson Message-Id: <5KxNQ74.cliffkite@delphi.com> Organization: Delphi (info@delphi.com email, 800-695-4005 voice) Subject: Re: Beginner wanting good kite source a good mail order catalog is from Into The Wind.Call toll free 1-800-541-0314 C cliff in reno,nv = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Sat, 2 Apr 1994 12:02:51 -1000 From: nstar@delphi.com Message-Id: Organization: Delphi (info@delphi.com email, 800-695-4005 voice) Subject: Re: Beginner wanting good kite source if you're not a member yet join AKA..write to 1559 Rockville, MD 20852.. 1000's of members, sources.
