It was on BBC 1, in the shape of a '1' as an advertising thingy (aint that illegal?) The kite was composed of hundreds of cells. Anyone seen it ? It was only there for probably 2 seconds so I did not get a good look! It was first shown on our TV screens in the Midlands last Autumn and prompted a lot of discussion as to wether it would actually fly. The general concensus was (after a lot of back and forth on the video) that it probably would not fly as the top left part of the '1' would off-balance the kite. We also felt that the kite was tethered in a studio with a fan blowing at it for effect. We were undecided as to how big it actually is, though. Nice to see that the beeb went to all that trouble of building it and filming it though. As you say, it appears to be a multi-celled, multi-coloured "one".
