I even got some additional information about how they work and the aerodynamics involved because of Gregory March's question, which is greatly appreciated. About a week ago, and forgive me as my memory chips are failing fast, someone (can't remember who), posted an article containing a basic language program that would calculate the area of sail required for a given wind speed and kite weight. The problem is that the flying angle data (AF) is not used in the program although it is read in step 300. Is this an oversight? I would also like to know what the CL data numbers mean if you are privy to that information.
