If you have anything better to do than read this, do it: Axolotl, common name for the aquatic, larval form of the yellow-spotted, brown salamander Ambystoma mexicanum. They attain sexual maturity in tadpole form. I think the Internet and all its manifestations show mankind's connection with the Axolotl. It is my personal opinion that advances in technology have been occurring much faster than humanity's ability to assimilate the changes. I think that a creature that has taken a few million years to advance from killing each other with sticks and stones to thermonuclear devices is not able to take a doubling of technological knowledge every few years. What I mean is that we never grow up before we start screwing around with stuff, just like the Axolotl. We just don't have the time to learn how to deal with what is developing before something has replaced it by the latest and greatest. I don't think that man has yet learned how to deal maturely with the telephone. So, don't be upset if we all haven't learned how behave in Cyberspace. I believe, we should cut each other a little more slack. Unless I get pissed off, then I think I should kill'em all and let God sort'em out later.
