Subject: AVI Aerial Kite Festival "96" 2/21-2/24

This is the first annual "AVI Aerial Kite Festival "96" sponsored by AVI
Casino Hotel to take place March 21-24 on the grounds of the casino
located in Laughlin Nevada. About 95 miles South west of Las Vegas.

The event organizers asked me to post the event. I have never been there,
but they tell me that this will be a good event with a large spectator
attendence expected.

Featured guests will be:
Pam Kirk and the "Flight Squadron Demonstration Team"
Flight School with Dodd Gross, Classes are now forming
Plus Randy Shannon with fighter kites and many others.

Many AKA members will be demonstrating all type of kites and the flying
fields are sand. Plenty of room for buggiers.(I'm bringin mine).

Thursday will be a "Festival get acquainted day" and for us North East
coast people, "Weather get acquainted day"

Friday thru Sunday
Various kite activities, dual and quad competitions, fighter competitions,
buggying Kids kite workshops and Flight School.

Saturday Night "Night Fly"
Single Line Kites will have their own field and be flying all day so bring
as many big kites as you can.
There will also be "Free Flying Areas" Everywhere!

All of this was on a couple pages of fax, and although it didn't say, I
believe there will be plenty of things to do and see and buy!

Flight School Is scheduled for Saturday and Sunday two times a day.10am-12
and 3pm-5
 Class is limited to 6 flyers per class and it runs approx. 2 hrs.  This
class is based upon "Flight School II "The System" Training Video. ]
Thurday and Friday are open for private System and Trick Lessons.
Reccomended skill level for Flight School classes is Intermediate and
above although the new flyer who is past the "Crash Stage" is also
eligible for this class.
This will be the first  of only  four classes offered in the US this year
so if you wanted to enroll and you feel like traveling a little, they tell
me the hotel is very nice with reasonable rates.The other 3 Flight Schools
 will be , Mask, East Coast and one in Ca at the end of July. For a list
