The last time I talked to Chris and Amanda (who are running these titles), which was admittedly a month ago, at the Victorian Titles, the AKS (a bunch of bigoted, over-politicised wankers, if there ever was one), had washed their hands of the whole deal. Of course, in the politics of kiting, a week is a much longer time than in realpolitik, but I can't really see the comic-opera dictators who were running the AKS changing their attitudes. Or is it that they have been deposed, and a new and more enlighted age is dawning over a darkened Sydney town ??? >at Kooragang Island, Newcastle on >Fri 18, Sat 19, Sun 20 February 1994 > >Early registrations close Friday 14 Jan 1994 >Final registrations close Tuesday 8 Feb 1994 > >More info is available from > Kiteworks > 2 Crown Street > Newcastle > NSW 2300 > Australia Be there, it will be a weekend of marvels and wonders !!!! Check it out, Gary. 1. The Championships are being run by the Newcastle Chapter of the AKS. It's on the Championship literature. 2. The AKS has not, and never did, wash its hands of the affair. The committee did ask for more comprehensive business planning in the light of the fact that it is financially responsible for the event. Hold an opinion, and voice it, but please don't be so abusive. >Be there, it will be a weekend of marvels and wonders !!!! I agree.
