Most probably won't be interested, but if you fly Delta (the airline! ) much, and have your kid registered in their Frequent Flyer program and get their magazine.. There is an article in this month's issue that talks about that young kid who won one of the competitions a few months ago. Isn't he the youngest competitor to take first place? Anyway, FWIW... Sounds like John Morrison to me, from Rohnert Park, CA. John took first at the Grand Nationals in Lubbock, TX last year in the Exp. Ind. Choreo. event; Now he competes in the Master's class, and has more than held his own in the Individual Choreo events: 4th in Long Beach, WA, and 2nd in Manhattan Beach (UP Sport Kite Open). Pretty impressive for a 12-year old. > Isn't he the youngest >competitor to take first place? Anyway, FWIW... He is the youngest winner I know of, but not the youngest CA-Wasp flier; that honor goes to his youngest sibling Chad, aged five (ulp!) = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Thu, 8 Jul 1993 08:19:00 -1000 From: sasaki@das.harvard.edu (Marty Sasaki) Message-Id: <1993Jul8.181900.480@das.harvard.edu> Organization: Harvard University Subject: Re: Article in Frequent Flyer Mag... Pretty impressive for a 12-year old. I saw John fly at the UP Sports event this past weekend. His technical ability is high, and his choreography is solid. I was impressed by his flying, regardless of his age. Dave Gomberg did make the comment that hopefully when John discovers girls he won't spend so much time flying. At least then us older folks might have a chance against him. -- Marty Sasaki Harvard University Sasaki Kite Fabrications sasaki@noc.harvard.edu Network Services Division 26 Green Street 617-496-4320 10 Ware Street Jamaica Plain, MA 02130 Cambridge, MA 02138-4002 phone/fax: 617-522-8546 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
