Before I do so, let me just say that Lakehurst is one of the most incredible places you can imagine for indoor flying and these events are *not* to be missed! Don't forget to contact Peter if you plan on going. Unlike the previous events, this time Peter needs to present a guest list to the MPs with the Big Guns at the front gate. In other words, RSVPs are mandatory... If you're looking for something exciting to do the weekend after Smithsonian, this is it... --------------- Yes, this is another Lakehurst Indoor Fly!!!! Yes, we will be using big Hangar I again!!! Date: Sat, April 6, 1996 Time: 0900 to 1700 hr Place: Lakehurst Naval Air Engineering Station Lakehurst, New Jersey Rain date: Sat, April 6, 1996 Contact: Peter Lee (908) 506-6181 work (908)506-6181 home Email: Leepm@lakehurst.navy.mil Those of you who missed the last two indoor flies have heard enough about how much fun we had. So we are doing it again! There is plenty of room for fun fly all day long for everyone. The main flying area floor is about 90 ft x 300ft, air space is 125 x 300 with a 125 ft ceiling (no kidding). Plus there are plenty of smaller spaces. The floor surface is brick work, lighting is natural. For safty reasons roller skates are forbidden in the free fly area but maybe excepted for demostrations. A special time will be set aside for demo flying for anyone who wants to strut their stuff! I expect lots of extroverts! IMPORTANT: You must register with Peter Lee via phone or email no later than April 3rd. A list of attendee's will be required Bring: chairs, refreshments, yummies, music, banners, video, cameras and a smile No smoking in hangar No Alcohol on base No Firearms or weapons on base No pets! Last years event hosted an indoor compition sponsered by the SOUTH JERSEY KITE FLYERS. Other activeties included THE FIRST EVER PARA-FAUNA DROP AT HIGH ALTITUDE INDOORS any were in the world !! By the P.A.W.S. gang headed by Mike Dallmer. Of note: a large delta stunt kite made by ,Hans something from NewEngland, 15' plus was flown axeled and given a though walk about by many attending. Anyhow, alot of people came, had fun, and most of the winners were SJKF members. Not that we have an advantage but because we are willing to travel 1.5 hours and drown out the thrill seakers. Personaly: I flew a fighter kite to the roof , what a THRILL !!!!!!!
