I have owned Aziza, designed by Chris Matheson of London, for about four weeks now, and I love it. I wanted a high wind kite that would trick, and after researching and trying other kites available, I bought the Aziza. It was primarily designed as a higher wind trick kite, and although it will fly in lower winds with a bit of work, it comes into its own in wind speeds of 12mph or more. The trailing edge is curved and fitted with tensioning cord which makes the kite silent. This kite performs all the current tricks, and I am sure most of the ones not yet invented!! It turns and spins very tightly, and is fast! It is so fast it becomes a blur in the air! The tight turning can be partly attributed to the dynamic bridle that increases the angle of attack during a turn. In lower winds the kite tends to stall after a couple of turns of a tight spin, and also the nose has a tendencey to fall forward. These are not faults, but characteristics which can be employed as you explore the kites capabilities. The kite does not pull much, in fact I fly on 40-50 feet of 80lb line, but then I have not flown it in very high winds where it might need 150lb lines. This is a great kite to experiment with just to see what happens. Span: 1900mm Height: 810mm Weight: 220g Wind Range: 5-25mph Frame: 6mm dia Carbon (RFC) and 2 x 3mm dia whiskers Cost 70 uk pounds I have absolutely nothing to do with Chris Matheson, other than being a very satisfied customer. If any flier would like to know more about the Aziza please feel free to email me.
