In 1963, Charles H. Cleveland of Bend Oregon manufactured and marketed the "Glite". It was a two-line, paper diamond similar to the Hi-Fly kites which were so popular at the time. We've come a long way since then. -- David Gomberg phone 503-996-3083 Box 113, Neotsu Oregon 97364 USA fax 503-994-9692 = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = Date: Fri, 15 Dec 1995 08:04:03 -1000 From: Peter Loop Message-Id: <4asdak$3hr@ornews.intel.com> Organization: Intel Subject: Re: Answer - Trivia Question #3 Dave The Glite, was more like a Peter Powell then a Hi-Fly! It had a bridle between the wing and the fuselage on each side of the kite. It was flown with two lines and could be manouvered back and forth. I can't remember ever spinning it though. I don't think it would do that. I know at my age senility is supposed to set in, but never the less it is a clear memory that is still vivid. This occored during the depression and companies failled reguarly and if they were new didn't last long.
