The itw catalog says "In heavy winds, use several." I'm looking to reduce ~15 to ~8. Do they help you hold stalls in heavier winds, or just reduce speed and pull? -Gandalf = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = From: NSVS12A@prodigy.com (Ken Forslund) Subject: Re: Another Wind Tamer Q: Date: Sun, 21 Apr 1996 07:44:07 -1000 Organization: Prodigy Services Company 1-800-PRODIGY Message-ID: <4lds57$u4q@useneta1.news.prodigy.com> Providing you buy a wind tamer properly sized for your kite, you should drop you from the feel of 15 to about that of 8 MPH with one wind tamer. The wind tamer is like a sea anchor on a boat, it slows the kite down by adding dag to the whole affair. The reduction in speed causes a loss of lift which is pull on the flying lines. Since the wind tamer only works when the kite has motion, it will have no effect during a stall. Just the added weight in the flying line train might do something, but who can predict what. Have fun.
